To assure the smooth transition from associate's degree programs offered at New Jersey community colleges to NJIT's bachelor's degree programs, NJIT has a number of Joint Admissions Agreements in place. These agreements specify the courses that community college students should take in order to maximize the number of transferable credits to NJIT. Generally, students electing this option can complete a specific BA or BS degree in four semesters of full-time study.
An important feature of all joint admissions agreements is that high school graduates are simultaneously admitted to both the cooperating community college and NJIT. The NJIT Office of University Admissions monitors the academic progress of students as they pursue the associate's degree. Admissions would be based on high school performance and SAT. NJIT isn't that difficult to get in although it is tough to graduate out (expected 51% graduation rate in 6 years) as they quality control a bit to make the degree more valuable ( it has a top 100 returns on investment rating among more than 2500 Us in the states).

Effective 2017, NJIT will accept the redesigned SAT scores for admission and scholarship purposes. Applicants may submit scores from either the old or new SAT.
Class rank: We look for students in the top 25 percent of their class. For schools that don't use a ranking system, we consider a 3.0 GPA or higher to be equivalent.
